Homewood Suites by Hilton Colorado Springs Airport

The front desk staff were consistently kind and pleasant, but I wouldn't stay here again. Management charged $250 to my card for alleged damage by my dog without contacting me first or providing any explanation, documentation, photos, or proof. I tried to resolve it, but they wouldn't speak with me directly. I was told the head of housekeeping would call, and no one ever followed up. I travel for work about 95% of the year and always bring my well-trained Great Dane. He doesn't chew and has no accidents indoors. They said he'd urinated in the room, but that would have been extremely obvious given his size, and they never showed me any evidence. Charging a guest without notice or documentation feels deeply unprofessional. There needs to be transparency and communication when money is involved.

Michael, one of the managers, really stepped up when I mentioned an inconvenience. He was responsive and put in more effort than I expected to make things right. The rooms were clean, the hotel was well cared for and cozy, and the view was gorgeous. I've traveled for work and this is one of the nicer Homewood Suites I've stayed at. The staff were friendly and hospitable, too. I'd recommend it if you're in the area.

The people here made it feel like a second home. They remembered my name, my family, and why I was there, and I can't wait to return. From Noah, the shuttle driver, to Anthony the bartender, who makes a killer nacho plate, the team was warm, outgoing, and genuinely kind. Get extra pico from Anthony, he makes it in house every day and it's delicious. Chad and Jalen on overnights were the chillest guys I've met in ages. Jess from Indiana seemed to know everyone in Homewood's world, Hannah was a Jack of All Trades, and Ms. Yuki faithfully cleaned my room every other day. Hilton would be proud of their service. The hotel is one of the newest in the Springs, with amazing views of "America's Mountain," aka Pikes Peak. There are fire pits, a hot tub, outdoor games, grills, cornhole, a pool table, and a full bar and bistro. Breakfast is complimentary and full, and coffee, tea, and hot cocoa are available 24/7. There's a cute market by check-in with things you might have forgotten, plus heat-and-serve food, salads, wraps, and plenty of snacks to take upstairs if you'd rather eat quietly. My room was spotless, truly white-glove clean, and had a stove, full-size fridge, and Crabtree & Evelyn amenities. Wednesday night's Manager's Social was a lovely surprise, with soup, salad, crudites, charcuterie, and more, though I assume what's offered varies by location. Guests of age could enjoy two beers or glasses of wine while mingling with their Homewood "neighbors."

The rooms are really nice, though the walls are thin. Breakfast was basic and hit or miss. Connectivity was the bigger problem: cell service around the hotel wasn't great, the WiFi was very slow, and the manager I spoke with couldn't improve it. The digital key also failed after several tries.
