Knights Inn Colorado Springs Central

We only stayed one night, even though we had booked two, and left early instead of spending another night. The bed was comfortable, and the TV was nice, though it only had analog. The tub backed up when I tried to shower. The room was filthy, with ripped and stained curtains, a tub that looked like it had been pulled from a dumpster, and shabby, dingy furnishings. We checked for bed bugs and, since we arrived late and were exhausted and it looked clear, decided to stay. My husband had booked this place by mistake, thinking it was another hotel we’d stayed at before. That was a mistake. Save your money and time, do NOT stay here!

The coffee maker was missing a part and didn’t work, and when we asked for another, we were told they had no extras. There were unrented rooms, so they could have taken one from one of those. The toilet seat and vent cover were broken too, there was no iron or hair dryer, and anything we put in the small cooler would freeze. We love the place and really want to come back, so please fix these problems.

The beds were comfortable, but one had hair in it and another was dirty. When we asked for clean sheets, we were told there weren’t any. The breakfast was only juice and cereal. The bathroom was stained and dirty, there was unidentified stuff on the bedspreads, and the microwave had ants all over it. The carpets were so nasty I wouldn’t walk on them barefoot, and people in the parking lot seemed shady. I don’t recommend staying here.

It was pretty quiet, and the manager explained that they have the equipment for a proper breakfast but aren’t required to provide one. What they call “free breakfast” is just a choice of coffee or juice. The room could have been cleaner too. Someone must have used the bathtub as an ashtray, there were over 30 burn marks on the side.
