Motel 6 – Colorado Springs, CO – South/Metro Area

We only lasted one night, and felt gross the whole time. The bathroom had mold, the floors were disgusting and slimy, and the room was 86 degrees when we arrived. The door lock didn't work, and the parking lot hadn't been cleared of ice. There were homeless people walking around too. I won't stay here again.

After Alexis left, this place went badly downhill. There were two hit-and-runs, and security just sat in the car. Night staff sneak people into rooms and then try to rent them out, and the overnight worker asked us for cigarettes but turned us down when we needed toilet paper. We were repeatedly promised sheets that never arrived, then told to get sheets and toilet paper from the maids because the office couldn't give them out. Under the bed we found drug paraphernalia, and the maids barely did the minimum. Our rooms were gross and often missing things. We had to bring our own TV; a friend's TV didn't work because there was no cable, and the manager said there wasn't a spare. This place needs new management and staff. Don't waste your time.

The room was ordinary, comfortable enough, and met the basics. What I remember most is Agent Hernandez's patrol. I jokingly asked him to watch me and my car, and he took it seriously, checking on my vehicle through the night. His professionalism made me feel safer, and I thanked him before leaving. The stay was okay overall.

The AC was about the only thing that worked. The floor needs replacing, with wood planks sticking up enough that I stubbed my toe more than once. There was no shower mat, so my husband had to use the towel I needed to dry off. Several wall holes had putty over them, two lights had no shades, and the lights between the beds shorted out when switched. The other wall light flickered whenever those were used. They also ignored my reservation requests: I booked a queen bed and a smoking room, but got neither. Absolutely don't recommend this place. I'll stay at Super 8 next time I'm in Colorado Springs.
