My Place Hotel - Colorado Springs, CO

My wife and I wanted a few days away without the kids before she had to leave state, and this hotel was really nice for the price. The staff were friendly and very accommodating, and everything was clean. My wife especially liked the heated toilet seat. I also appreciated being able to check in early and check out late. I'll look for more of these hotels when I travel.

The mountain view was great, and the room stayed clean and quiet. I liked having a mini kitchen, too. MyPlace Hotels are usually good on price, which is hard to beat when you just need somewhere to sleep. A queen was the largest bed available, but that wasn’t a deal breaker for us.

Fiona at the desk was especially thoughtful. She warned us to keep our phones charged for the walk back from the show, since the street gets dark and we might need the flashlights. She was right. The route to Ford Amphitheater is about a mile each way, downhill there and uphill coming back, so keep that in mind. We chose this place for its closeness to the venue and stayed one night. The room was new, clean, quiet, and comfortable, with two queen beds, nice pillows, plenty of towels, and a lovely view. The front desk staff were welcoming and efficient. I’d stay again.

We booked four nights but left after the first one. There weren’t any dishes or utensils in the room, though the front desk found a few items to get us through that night. The hotel’s claim that it provides the essentials at reasonable prices didn’t match our experience. We got no refund for the remaining three nights, so one night cost us over $540. That isn’t reasonable for a cut-rate hotel.
