Rodeway Inn Colorado Springs

I was ready to cancel and pay more to avoid dealing with this staff. I’d have happily paid the deposit, and even doubled my stay, if it had been the $100 listed and the staff hadn’t been so rude. Instead, they demanded full payment and pointed me to their listed policy, which I found. They also seemed not to know their own rules. I booked through Choice Hotels, which apparently guaranteed the room without the required deposit. I wanted the reservation company to cover that mistake. Unless every campsite is full and you have no other choice, stay away.

There’s a Walmart and a few restaurants within walking distance, which was handy after a long drive. Dee at the front desk was amazing, and everyone else was great too. We had two pillows for two people in a single bed, but they were happy to bring two more. It wasn’t pristine, though it also wasn’t dirty or gross. The couple next door argued, but the walls were thick enough that we mostly heard them in the hallway, and someone else’s relationship isn’t the staff’s fault. Good stay for the price.

The doors are left open, and random people, including workers, hang around in the hallway doing nothing. The only ones working seemed to be the women cleaning rooms. They usually do a good job, but if someone has left an item behind, they act like they don’t speak English.

The staff were kind and the rooms weren’t too bad, but there were lots of police around and a guy walking through the parking lot. I canceled because that person roaming around made me uneasy, to be honest.
