Arlene looks after this charming old Victorian and has a wealth of stories about Colorado Springs history. The rooms are elegantly furnished with antiques, but also clean, with modern bathrooms, comfortable beds, and books to read instead of TVs. It felt wonderfully romantic for couples of any age. Breakfast was delightful, as was chatting with the other guests.

We’ll definitely stay here next time we’re in town. Arlene was a lovely host, shared the home’s history, and had plenty of food suggestions. Our room had everything we needed and loads of charm. The yard kitties were a fun bonus.

No TV in the rooms, so bring a streaming device if you want something to watch. We actually liked sitting late into the night on our private balcony. We had a great two-night stay; the room was tidy and very nice, and Arlene was a wonderful host. Lots of restaurants, shops, hiking trails, and sightseeing spots are nearby.

The communal breakfast was a treat, especially getting to eat and chat with the host and other guests. The Victorian house is comfortable, the rooms are nice, and the nostalgia feels real. The host was warm and accommodating, and gave us the history of the house and area. It’s right in the heart of old Colorado City in Colorado Springs, and we’ll be back. Don’t let the current face mask policy put you off. Thankfully, it wasn’t followed in any meaningful way.

Arlene has so many stories that we could’ve listened and talked with her for hours. Breakfast was delicious, and we really enjoyed the other guests’ company too. What a gem. I’d rate the place a 10 if that were an option, and hope we can return. You can’t go wrong staying here.
