Castle Rock Bed and Breakfast

We never even got out of the car, let alone went inside. We couldn’t reach the owner when we arrived to check that this was the right place, and the property looked like a scam house. We ended up getting a room at the local hotel. The listing was a complete lie, and the place felt hostile enough that we were afraid we’d be murdered. The owner won’t refund us. Do not book here. I wish I could give it a negative rating.

For $150 a night, this wasn’t great. The note promised drinks in the fridge, but there were none, and the breakfast arrived cold. The common rooms could’ve been cleaner, too. The dryer filter was packed with lint, so I had to clean it myself. Six days later, there’s still been no response. They clearly don’t care.

10/19/2025: Castle Rock B&B has unfortunately closed. There’s another good option in Colstrip, Rustic Lodge B&B, with 13 rooms, a very clean property, a great breakfast, and a really nice proprietor. Before it closed, Castle Rock B&B was my favorite place to stay in the area. Mindy and Andy made me feel like family and always went out of their way to make each visit special. The rooms were lovely, with comfortable beds and quality sheets, plus a TV, microwave, and refrigerator in every room. There was also a hot tub for relaxing. I stayed there whenever work brought me to town and highly recommend it for anyone traveling nearby.

It felt like being at home, and the owners were so kind. Breakfast had lots of tasty food, and the rooms were full of character. The beds and living room were very comfortable, with luxurious linens and towels. It’s a wonderful place and a remarkable value. I hope to come back the next time I join my wife on a business trip out here. You won’t be disappointed.
