Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Columbia, MO

Housekeeping checked on us each of our three mornings and made sure we had what we needed. The room was very clean, the staff were very nice, and breakfast had plenty of tasty choices. This was the first hotel we’ve stayed at where we couldn’t think of a single negative thing. Everything was wonderful.

We stumbled on this place and it turned out better than we expected. The rooms are large and clean, and the bathrooms are bright, roomy, and clean too. The showers were great, and the sound isolation made for a really good night’s sleep. The shades blocked the morning light so well that I couldn’t tell whether it was light outside. We didn’t use the pool or hot tub. Breakfast was solid, the staff were really nice, and the price was competitive. If you’re in Columbia, MO, this place may exceed your expectations. And if you disc golf, Harmony Bends is a fantastic course with no cost to play. It may be a top course in the world.

Betty at the front desk was terrific after our 660 mile trip, and the lobby felt inviting. The room was clean and spacious, with lots of attention to detail and a welcoming feel. We slept very well. Breakfast area and food were top-notch for both cleanliness and quality, and our bill was already waiting under the door. We travel cross-country often, and this is the best 3-star hotel we’ve stayed in. We’ve added Country Inn & Suites by Radisson to our future travel plans because of this location.

We often book this chain for employees traveling, but this franchise and its owners didn’t act like the chain as a whole. We booked and paid in advance. When our employee arrived at 9 at night, the hotel demanded a deposit on a debit card, then said they don’t accept debit cards. Corporate told us they absolutely do, but the hotel still refused to refund us. We called from the parking lot to try booking a room, and they said they were fully booked that night. It seemed the real reason they turned our employee away was that they had higher-paying rooms than hotels. Com/Expedia. They still wouldn’t give us a refund.
