SpringHill Suites By Marriott Columbia Fort Meade Area

The lobby was a great place for our family to gather and spend time together, and the staff helped with every detail so the weekend felt stress-free. We were at SpringHill Suites in Columbia, MD for my sister’s 60th birthday, and everyone we met, from the front desk to housekeeping, was warm, professional, and genuinely caring. The rooms were clean, spacious, and comfortable. It’s rare to get such attentive, friendly service, and we really appreciated it. Thank you, SpringHill Suites Columbia, for helping us make lasting memories for such an important milestone!

The staff were nice, but the room wasn’t very clean. There was crusty residue on the carpet and mold in the shower. It also took more than five minutes for the shower to get hot.

The only drawback was that breakfast didn’t start until 7 a.m., and we had to leave before then. We saw the staff setting it up, though, and it looked like a nice hot breakfast. The room was very clean and had everything we needed for the night, and the staff were super friendly. We enjoyed our stay and would come back.

I’m glad I only spent one night here, and I’d avoid this hotel unless there’s nowhere else to stay. My reservation was inexplicably canceled a few days before check-in. Marriott’s representative couldn’t explain what had happened because nobody at the hotel had any information. The first room smelled strongly of mold and mildew throughout, and the A/C control didn’t seem to work, so I switched rooms. On the way downstairs I spotted dead bugs in the lighting above the elevator and hanging from the ceiling. In the replacement room, the bed had a huge dip on one side, the pillows felt stuffed with what I can only assume was tissue paper, and there was a bug staring at me from the bathroom towel. When I looked at rebooking the canceled reservation, the hotel was trying to charge over $200 a night. I’d expect better. The woman at the front desk was very nice and welcoming, thanked me for being an elite member, and changed my room without any trouble.
