Super 8 Columbia East

This place was awful. There was a hat, old food, a partly full water bottle, and a necklace under the couch cushions, and the towels were dirty. The poolside toilet had dried feces on the seat and no toilet paper. The front desk said they had only one housekeeper and no vacuum. I strongly discourage anyone from booking here.

The hot tub was nice, and breakfast was very good. I stayed from Friday evening to Sunday morning, and the Friday night staff were neither friendly nor rude at first. When I asked for extra towels, they seemed annoyed. The room looked nothing like the photo I’d seen while booking, and I killed five different bugs over the weekend. The TV’s HDMI ports were broken, so I could only watch the provided channels and couldn’t use my streaming device.

Breakfast was barely anything: some waffle mix left on a counter and corn flakes in a bin. No fresh fruit, pastries, muffins, or the other things advertised. When I arrived, I was told the pool and hot tub were broken. In my room there were pee stains on the toilet, a bag over the smoke detector, trash on the floor, and no trash can. This place is horrible. Don’t come here.

I found a stained bath towel and a bug in the bathroom. There was no coffee maker, plastic cups, or hand soap, and the hair dryer and TV didn’t work. I called the front desk several times about the TV, but nobody picked up.
