The remodel looked cute and it was somewhat clean, though it felt cheaply done. The building itself is old and peeling, with one tiny bathroom downstairs at the bottom of a very steep, narrow staircase. I knew an old building would have stairs, but there were loads of bedroom and living room pictures and no staircase photo or mention in the description. That’s a real issue for anyone who can’t manage stairs. The lighting was odd, too. There’s central air on the first floor and a window unit in one upstairs room. 😳 It’s downtown, so cars revving through the night were easy to hear. The rental sits on a narrow street, and the overgrown lot looks neglected. You can walk to lots of restaurants, and it’s a busy area, but it felt very shady at night, so stay alert. The booking process was confusing and the site was a challenge at times. This was my first BnB type stay; the others with me said it was much cleaner than some Airbnb type rentals they’d seen. Maybe my standards are too high, silly me!

We’ve booked with jungle house several times and will probably use them whenever we’re in Columbus. Their places have a distinctive look and are decorated with care. They also think of the small things you might need but usually forget to bring.

I spent most of my time reading outside with the sounds of nature around me, and it honestly felt therapeutic. Jungle House was clean, peaceful, and a great place to recharge. If you’re hoping for a loud, touristy scene, this probably won’t suit you. But for fresh air and a bit of quiet, it’s perfect.

Just an ordinary, uneventful stay, in a good way. I stayed solo a while back and didn’t have any trouble during or after the visit. The place matched the photos and description, and check-in went fine. I was a little confused by the instructions at first, but I’d probably skimmed them too quickly 😅 Once I slowed down, it all made sense.

The loft at Jungle House Urban Lofts Arena District and Short North was clean, modern, and thoughtfully put together. The host team communicated clearly and responded throughout the stay, and getting checked in was simple. We could easily reach the restaurants, entertainment, and other Columbus spots we wanted to explore, while the loft still felt private and comfortable. It made a convenient base for the city, and we’d happily stay there again.
