The room was clean, but the hotel felt pricey for what we got, and the extra hassles made the stay disappointing. I was surprised by the charges: there was a $150 deposit, then an initial charge of $310, followed by another $163 taken from my account while the first amount was still pending. When I called to ask about it, I couldn’t get a useful explanation. The front desk staff were friendly and welcoming, which I really appreciated. The pool was closed, and we had to use the main entrance because our room keys wouldn’t open the side doors. The front parking was full, so we parked around back and had to carry our bags all the way around to the front.

We brought our dog for a one-night stay, and the hotel was very accommodating toward her. Breakfast was standard but good, and the pool looked lovely, though I didn’t use it. The lobby and room had been updated and were very clean. We got a warm, friendly welcome at the front desk, and the stay was very pleasant.

The room was very clean and I was well looked after. I had a good stay and would recommend this place first to anyone visiting from out of town. The only issue was a major leak from the floor around the shower. I know pipes can fail, especially during a cold winter, and the woman at the desk offered to move me. I declined since it was already 2 AM and I was only there for the night. She’d been wonderful when I checked in. I think her name was Eileen, though I’m not sure. I’d been turned away by the Holiday Inn across the street, so it was a relief to find a more welcoming place. I didn’t love the $250 deposit, but I understand.

The floors weren’t carpeted, which I loved. Honestly, I think all hotels should be that way, whether or not they allow pets. It was clean, quiet, safe, warm, and welcoming, with a nice area outside for dogs. The woman who checked us in greeted our pup and gave her a treat. We arrived late and left early, but breakfast had both hot items and continental choices. It can be hard to find a clean place that’s reasonably priced and allows dogs, so after reading the reviews we chose this one and saved it for our next trip. My only suggestion is to use pet-safe salt around the hotel in winter. We’d stay again.
