Regency Inn

The rooms are clean, the bedding is neat, and it's very pet friendly. I always feel comfortable here, and this is the only place I stay on business trips. It's a small local business, so there's no big breakfast bar, but the service and people are great. I travel north to south a few times a year, often with my Great Dane. From my first stay a few years ago through my visits this week, I'm always met with smiles and accommodating, friendly people. I've read some reviews saying the owners aren't happy people, and I couldn't disagree more. Give them a try and see for yourself. For me, it's definitely five stars.

Simple rooms, but clean, and the owners were really nice and ready to help with whatever we needed. They come by each day to replace the towels, wash rags, and garbage. Floors have been updated in several rooms. We've had no problems, and it works for our hunting trips. Nothing fancy, but we like it.

The rooms are nice and quiet, and the owner's wife was friendly and hospitable when she checked us in on the first night. The next day, we left for a few hours and had to keep our dogs in the room because of the extreme heat. I got yelled at about it like I was a child, though there was no damage or accident, so I don't know why. Booking a third night today felt like dealing with a loan shark, as if I'd paid late. With that attitude, I imagine the owner chases away more business than he brings in. There's no pool. I should have gone to Super 8!

The bed was comfortable, the rooms were okay, and the housekeeper was super nice and helpful. But the owners, who work in the office, weren't friendly, just businesslike. They never smiled and didn't seem happy. I also felt the housekeeper wasn't given enough time to clean to normal hotel standards. Watch your bill: the owner tried to charge us for an extra day, and went through with it. We argued and showed the receipt, but she wouldn't listen or give the money back. We had to leave or pay again. Not cool!
