Beachcomber Inn

Mary Alice and Tammy made sure we had what we needed. The place is lovely, with a fantastic lake view, a roomy living room, plenty of deck seating by the water, and really comfortable beds. Everything was clean and comfortable, and The Beachcomber restaurant right there served wonderful food.

We came to town for a wedding, and Mary Alice even remembered that when we checked out. We texted her to let her know we were leaving, and she asked whether we’d had a good time. The checkout was easy, just like check-in, and the room suited us perfectly. I’d had trouble making the reservation online, so I called instead and had a warm, friendly chat with owner Mary Alice, like we were old friends. She remembered our conversation when we met in person, too. Everyone on staff was welcoming and treated us like regulars. We had a delicious dinner at the restaurant, then got a drink at the outside bar and enjoyed the view. Such a great place, and if you’re looking for somewhere off the beaten path, I’d recommend checking it out.

We spent the whole stay enjoying the property, with music, water entertainment, and the bar and restaurant close by. Service was five-star and right at our fingertips. We could cook indoors or outside, or eat at the restaurant or bar grill. Our family and friends booked the penthouse for 3 nights and the suite below for 4, with 8 adults and 2 kids, and it made for a perfect getaway. The balconies faced the lake, right on the water. Mary Alice and her husband were only a text away if we needed anything, though we barely needed help. We had a wonderful weekend at the Beachcomber and would love to return. Thanks to the owners for a memorable vacation.

We girls stopped in for a drink and an appetizer and sat outside at a picnic table under an umbrella. The pretzel bites were really good, the drinks were cold, and the service was great. Lovely lake view, too.
