After I checked out, they charged another $2.63 to my card. I don’t know why and still have to call to confirm. The whole stay felt weird. Check-in took a long time, and the lobby and hallway had a strange smell. Late at night, one of the workers’ babies was screaming and wandering the halls. Very strange.

Once the outside lights came on, I felt fine and safe. Before that, it was a little scary. The room was nice and didn’t smell moldy, and I saw no bed bugs or roaches. It was very quiet, and the front desk clerk was friendly.

The bedding was stained, so be warned. And don’t ask room service to make up the room, because they steal your things. Yes, they really take them. If you absolutely need somewhere to stay, this place will do.

The room smelled strongly of mold, and its security lock was broken. They wouldn’t move me, and I’ve never felt so bad in a place. I only stayed one night out of a six-night booking and requested a refund through hotels.com, but they kept denying it. They don’t offer refunds, and once again, they lied about refunds. There are better places for a similar price. Just don’t come here. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.

After dark, this place near downtown Conroe started to feel unsettling, with people hanging around outside. I was there with my 18-year-old pregnant daughter, her 18-year-old boyfriend, and my 34-year-old cousin. Around 3 a.m., someone knocked and tried to get me to open the door, saying something about partying with him or something. I told him to go away, but he came back half an hour later. Through the peephole I saw an older man with no shirt on who looked like he might have been homeless. It scared me, and I won’t stay there again. Also, the woman working there let her baby, who looked about two, wander the halls alone.
