The owners’ half-sister welcomed us as soon as we arrived. She was so kind, talked us through the lake, islands, and hiking, and even offered to help dock our boat. The place is simple and peaceful, with everything we needed. The rooms were very clean and the beds cozy. The floors creak and the doors take a little shimmy to open or close, which gives the place some charm. The pillows are thick, so bring your own if you like a thinner one.

The view was memorable, and we loved the comfortable mattress and lovely linens. There are welcoming shared spaces, plus a beach and a future dock area that add more ways to enjoy the place. A cute coffee shop and the historic Lenard Paul are just steps away. The people running this charming inn made our stay feel like a movie set. We’ll definitely come back with friends.

We came here for a quiet anniversary weekend away from the city, and Coolin turned out to be just the tiny town we wanted. The inn is cozy and welcoming, and Kirsten made us feel at home with her gracious, sweet manner. We were pleasantly surprised by the 5pm wine and cheese. Sitting on the deck with a glass of wine and a view of the lake was exactly right, and the home-baked breakfasts she made were delicious. Our room was quaint, with antiques that suited the age of the place. The inn is only a short walk down the hill from its own private dock on Priest Lake. There are just a couple of places to eat in town, which is very small, but that suited us. Everything about the visit felt perfect for a real getaway.

The Kalispell Suite gave us a lot of space and its own entrance, and we had the whole place to ourselves. We were cozy in bed watching a storm roll in on the rainy first night. The building is historic, and I’d love to hear its stories. It was chilly outside, but the room thermostat and fan kept us comfortable, with warm bedding, plenty of hot water, and good pressure. The inn is under new ownership and is no longer a B&B. There’s a nice shared seating area with a coffee station. Thomas was easy to reach and accommodating, and we appreciated having him available at check-in. It’s a quaint, quiet spot with a gorgeous view, within walking distance of a general store and coffee shop. The two nearby restaurants serve hearty meals.

You can walk to both the grocery store and a restaurant, and there’s lake access with a dock for your boat. It’s the oldest building on Priest Lake. Room prices are quite reasonable and include a full breakfast, plus wine and evening appetizers. It’s open from Memorial Weekend until around Columbus Day.
