The inn’s old-house quirks and little oddities give it character. It feels more like visiting a friend than checking into a room, with a central location and lovely conversations over breakfast. For a charming, personal stay with genuine hospitality, this is one of Cooperstown’s best small inns.

I left a shirt with real sentimental value behind, and the inn made sure it got back to me at their expense. That says a lot about the people running the place. The rooms are spacious and charming, breakfast was delicious every morning, and Main Street is a short walk away. There’s free parking, too. Breakfast was very good every day, and the breakfast staff were super nice. The location is excellent, with an easy walk to Otsego Lake, Baseball Hall of Fame, and downtown Cooperstown.

The Carriage House was lovely, and even if we’d shared it with someone else, I think it still would have been. It was quiet and peaceful, with a very comfy bed, and the Inn felt homey and comfortable. Everyone was friendly, helpful, and nice, and the breakfasts were delicious. Ed was especially sweet and adorable. We had the whole Carriage House to ourselves and hated having to leave. Can’t wait to come back!

Ed and the rest of the team at The White House Inn made us feel very welcome. Our room was clean, breakfast was great, and Ed was a wonderful host. It’s an easy walk into downtown Cooperstown and to the National Baseball Hall of Fame. Thanks for a great stay, we hope to return.
