Tru by Hilton Coppell DFW Airport North

Breakfast was decent, though nothing special. The room felt nice and updated, but I spotted a small blood mark on a light switch and found a name tag pin inside one of the pillows. I was only there briefly after my flight was canceled in the big snowstorm. The shuttle took a little while, which made sense since it had to collect lots of people at different terminals.

We love staying here for weekend getaways, and have already used it twice. It’s such a modern-looking, fun place, and we like watching the sunset and the view of 635 from our room. Last night the Wi-Fi wasn’t working, but Courtney was really helpful, got us moved to another room, and sorted it out quickly before we went to dinner. The GM was kind enough to give us a bag of snacks too. We’ll definitely come back more often!

The room itself had problems too: the mini fridge didn’t work, and the thermostat kept blinking as if it needed batteries. I could hear the guests next door while I was showering, but we didn’t complain since some hotel noise is expected. The walls seem extremely thin for a newer building, which might be part of the noise problem. We stayed on January 30, 2026, and left to book another hotel, where we had a much better stay. Earlier, while we were quietly watching TV, the front desk called about a noise complaint. I apologized and turned it down. It was at volume 15, and we lowered it further. About 10 minutes later they called again, saying this was our third warning and we had to come downstairs and hand in our key. The TV was at 13 then, and there was no other noise in our room. I told them this was only our second call and that the TV wasn’t loud. After we packed and went down, the front desk attendant seemed confused and said we weren’t being kicked out after all and could stay, even though we’d just been told to return our key over noise complaints. We’ve stayed at other Tru by Hilton locations and never had anything like this. The mixed messages, poor communication, and room issues made the whole experience uncomfortable and disappointing. It could have been handled much better.

The kids were constantly playing on the pool table, which they loved. Our room was very clean, and the service was fantastic. Kesonde and Ameryss at the front desk were so friendly and answered all our questions. We loved our stay and would stay here again!
