Lift access was really good, and the secret pass deal was pretty sweet on a busy weekend. Skipping the long lines meant we got more skiing in. Still, we cut our three-night stay short by a day and drove home at night so we could sleep in our own beds. Room 313 seems untouched since the lodge was first built. Fixtures and furniture were broken or marked up from years of use, and nearly everything looked scratched, scuffed, or disheveled. It was adequately clean and quiet, but some carpet looked moldy, and the blinds and bunk bed covers were stained. The hot tub down the hall had a gross layer of foam on it, enough to put off even my easy-going daughter. This is a dumpy lodge.

The indoor hot tub is usually quiet and feels great after a day on the slopes. It's about a five-minute walk to Central, so you can get to American Eagle lift quickly. I've stayed here a few times and plan to return. The price is reasonable, the place is well furnished, and the kitchen is fully stocked. The beds are a bit uncomfortable, but you get what you pay for.

The view is amazing, and buses run throughout the day to take you to the mountains and back. We've been here four days and haven't seen anyone at the front desk, but there's an app to request things, and our items arrived at the door first thing the next morning. A kind housekeeper also came in and did our dishes while we were staying here. It's been an amazing stay so far.

The scenery was lovely, whether the mountains were sunny or rainy, and the penthouse at Telemark Lodge at 45 felt like being at the edge of the world, with the unknown just beyond the peaks. We stayed two nights, and the main city had a wonderful coffee shop. The place felt like its own little area. I'd definitely come back. It was worth all the planning.

The view was fantastic, and having indoor parking made it much easier to carry everything up to the condo. The condo itself was nice. If you want more to do in the surrounding area, go during ski season.
