Room 209 at Copper Mountain Mill Club is just about 100 yards from the main gondola, right by the market area. That location was the best part of our two-night stay. The room felt neglected. The mattresses sagged badly, and the soft foam layer meant to prop them up did not help. The bedroom closet was packed with the owner's things, including a TV and ski clothes, so we couldn't use it. The thermostat instructions say to lower the temperature to get heat and raise it to cool, and although that seems like an easy fix, it was left that way. A bedside table was so worn that its surface had come off and it was barely usable. The fridge's water and ice dispenser didn't work, the ski locker was tiny, and while the jacuzzi tub ran, its jets were dead and couldn't be aimed.

The sofa bed needs replacing. It didn't sit right and left us with back pain. Some windows wouldn't open, and the spa was too hot, poorly ventilated, and had no window we could open to enjoy the outdoors. Inside, late-season heat made the place hard to enjoy without air conditioning. Construction was happening every day, and water was shut off for a day without warning. Bath use flooded the entryway, the oven was awful to use, and we never heard anything about sheet changes. Too many little problems spoiled the stay, so I wouldn't recommend it.

Copper is our favorite Colorado ski spot, hands down, and we enjoy coming here in any season. Summer has plenty to do around the area, too. We love the Woodward activities and action sports. It costs a bit, but if it's within your budget, you'll be happy you came.

Underground parking is a real plus, and the location works well for a Copper Mountain trip in summer or winter.
