Hotel St. Michel

Can’t wait to come back. The staff were so kind and accommodating, and the room was really comfortable with a fantastic bed. Even the amenities were top notch, including free filtered water each day. If you like a vintage Bed and Breakfast feel, this is the place. And parking wouldn’t put me off, since you’d have to pay for it at any hotel in Coral Gables anyway. Absolutely WONDERFUL!

The thing that made me love Hotel St. Michel was the service. I left a brand new Bulova watch somewhere at the hotel while checking out on Monday. I’d been rushing on the phone, getting my things together, and only realized it was missing while driving home. I called and was told nobody had found it yet, so I was pretty disappointed in myself and thought it was gone. Daniel at the concierge was very apologetic. He checked the rooms himself and asked the maid service if they’d seen it. There was no luck that day, but two days later Daniel called to say a guest had turned it in. I was amazed he remembered my brief call. He offered to ship it and emailed the tracking information just a few minutes after it was mailed. Thank you, Daniel. I was already happy with my stay, but I’m so grateful and impressed by how the staff handled this. I’ll stay at Hotel St. Michel on my trips to Miami. The hotel itself is beautiful, in a historic part of town. I checked in Sunday for a Mets vs Marlins game and fell in love with the old Florida feel mixed with modern elegance. The restaurant downstairs is a big plus, too.

Lots of places to eat nearby, good transport links, and it felt safe to walk around. The rooms were comfortable, though service was hit and miss depending on who you got. The grumpy guy who checked us in cost them two stars.

Really pleasant staff, and I loved the room, furniture, bathroom, and even the elevator. The whole place has a great modern look with a retro tropical vibe. Hard to go wrong here!
