Extremely outdated and noisy, with a run-down feel. It was very dirty and seemed more like a place for transients than for travelers.

After we left, we were back on the road without any rest, out the only $70 we had, and with nowhere else to stay. It’s the worst hotel I’ve ever been to, and I highly do NOT recommend paying even a CENT to stay there. The worker, manager, and big “boss” were rude and wouldn’t listen when we asked for our money back. My family and I had driven all the way from Huntsville and needed a place to stop for the night on our out-of-state trip. It took the guy forever to come help us. We paid $60 plus a $10 pet deposit. Upstairs, our key didn’t work, and the guy told me the lock didn’t work and couldn’t be locked or unlocked. About 20 minutes later he finally unlocked the hotel door. The room was disgusting, hot, and humid. He kept the door open while trying to “fix” the lock, so we had no privacy, and he never fixed it. He then moved us two doors down. In that room we saw a ton of bugs and roaches, and in the bathroom there was a handmade drug-type contraption in the bathtub, three water bottles taped together from the faucet to the drain. We couldn’t even use the shower. We felt very uncomfortable and unsafe, grabbed our things, and went back downstairs. The guy argued with us about a refund. We asked nicely many times and eventually begged for our money back. He called his “manager,” who came over and acted like he’d help make it right, but then said we didn’t have to wait around for the “big boss” because he’d be there soon. We took the loss and left.

The bed was a letdown in the morning, once daylight showed the sheets and bedding weren’t clean. There were specks of something everywhere, along with hairs and stains. I felt like I scrubbed off a layer of skin in the shower. I’d traveled from Virginia exhausted and arrived late, just needing a place to sleep before continuing my trip in the morning. I asked to see the room first; it looked neat and clean on the surface, so I stayed and went straight to bed. I guess I got exactly what I paid for at the $55 flat rate. Never again.

Been here almost a week, and so far, so good. Restaurants, gas stations, and other stores are all convenient to get to.
