The split toilet and shower room was a plus, and it’s close enough to downtown for the park and shops. The Christmas light displays were nice too. It’s an old motel, so staying there feels like going back in time. It was clean enough for its age, though the window had a film on it like it hadn’t been washed in a while, and there was some kind of food splatter on the TV. Housekeeping could use more attention. I also missed having coffee, which is a deal breaker for me. The bright floodlight out front made it hard to sit and watch the rain. Otherwise, it’s just a place to rest.

The owners are kind and respectful, and the rooms are plain, pretty much what you’d expect at a motel. What stood out to me was the nightly rate: it stays the same, with no extra taxes or higher weekend prices.

It was quiet and more comfortable than I expected, and the people working there were good to deal with. The owner is nice too. But upkeep is minimal, with a lot broken or missing: one of the two sinks had no water, some rooms had no smoke alarms, and there was no chain on the door. The carpets and bedding were worn.

My family went through something tragic while we were staying at sky land. The people running it were caring and understanding, and our housekeeper looked after my family. I’m very thankful to all of them and wanted them to know.

The pillows were flat, and we didn’t get enough towels. When we asked for more, we were told we couldn’t have any. We stayed two days, but the room wasn’t cleaned. They said we had to request cleaning in advance, even though most motels do less. There was a “Do Not Disturb” sign on the door.
