Chic Coronado Retreat w/ Patio & 4 Cruiser Bikes!

I keep coming back so often it feels like returning home. It's my favorite place to stay when I'm in San Diego: clean, cozy, and friendly, with the feel of a small apartment, just without a kitchen. The staff are warm and personable, and the attached bistro does a great breakfast and lunch. I like ordering breakfast to go and having a little feast before I start the day. The pool is relaxing, and you can borrow bikes. The beach and Ferry Landing are easy to reach on foot or by bike.

Linda at the front desk noticed our food problem and immediately worked out a way to get special food for our Fr Bull dog. Without her help, our dog would have gone without food both days. She even drove us to the theater in the rain, so we made it to the play on time. What felt like a disaster was quickly sorted because she was thoughtful and keen to help. Hotel owner Melissa also helped us find Maddy, the best dog sitter ever, who stayed with our dog in the room while we went to the Village play. The staff were professional and ready to help. Our room was immaculate, the price was the best on the island, and parking was free. Shops and restaurants were a 10-minute walk away.

The Spanish-style architecture gives Crown City Inn in Colorado a lot of charm, and the whole inn was beautifully kept and clean. Our room was spotless, with a very comfortable bed and cozy robes that made it feel homey. They also offered free drinks throughout the day and fresh afternoon cookies, a thoughtful touch. Linda at the front desk was welcoming, friendly, and professional. I loved the stay and the location, and can't wait to return!

Crown City Inn really is a hidden gem. We had a great weekend with four people and three pups, including one service dog, and the staff welcomed them throughout the hotel. At check-in they gave us pup goody bags, and we spent time eating and relaxing by the pool with the dogs. Coronado's attractions are all within walking distance. We enjoyed a meal at the adjoining breakfast and lunch spot, where the service was just as good. We're seasoned travelers and can be picky, so we were impressed. An unexpected room issue came up, but it was handled quickly and efficiently. The staff made the biggest difference. Linda and the very nice guy at the front desk, whose name I didn't catch, were awesome. The other guests we met were friendly too. We didn't get to use the bikes, which I regret, but they had lots of options, and the pool is heated. For an affordable place, it goes well beyond hotels costing three or four times as much. Visually, it reminded us of Melrose Place in 2025. Thank you for making us and the pups feel so welcome. Chandler Bing, Skittles, and Sherlock Mahomes had a great time. We loved the beach and the stay, and can't wait to return!
