We used 74,000 of our hard-earned honors points for a stay that was neither relaxing nor rewarding. The guest laundry, pool, and other services were out of order, and only one elevator was working. Our room had a pull-out sofa but no linens for the bed. After a long drive, we were too exhausted to go back downstairs and ask. Breakfast was meager: only apples for fruit, just two yogurts, hard, dried-out biscuits, and orange marmalade as the only jelly. They ran out of pancake mix, had no milk for cereal, and the juice was very watered down. We wouldn’t recommend it or stay again.

At five in the morning we found two gigantic cockroaches, so we shook out all our belongings before putting anything in the truck. I told the front desk, and after apologizing, they said they’d notify management. As a Hilton member, I’m disappointed we had to deal with bugs, and I wouldn’t recommend staying until the renovation is finished. The room was nice and big, though the shower leaked. It was a remodeled room, 303, which made the leak even more baffling.

The morning crew made the stay for us. The cook and the woman at the front desk were the nicest people we’ve met on this trip, absolute angels. The guy working nights wasn’t the same, he didn’t smile once, but at least he got the job done. Five stars for the AM staff!

This location is really peaceful. I’m a builder and can be patient with construction, but I do appreciate an updated, clean, or new environment. The young woman on the evening staff was a big help when the guest equipment was down and I needed to print.

The outside is so brightly lit I thought it was daylight at 3:30 a.m. The room was clean, and breakfast was decent. The doors slam loudly and scare the crap out of you.
