The suites have been a good fit for us, especially with pets or kids. We’ve booked a two bedroom suite several times, and it feels like a small apartment, with two queen beds in one bedroom, one queen in the other, a big living room, small dining area, and kitchen. The pool and hot tub are nice extras, as is the little grassy area with games like life-size connect-4. The place has a bit of a Melrose vibe, and I think some people may stay longer term, like traveling nurses. I do have two recurring issues. Whenever I book a “garden view” room through their website, it’s been in the back corner overlooking the parking lot and a vacant lot, so I wonder whether two bedroom garden view suites actually exist. The kitchen isn’t stocked, and the few tools there are are pretty crappy, including a scratched Teflon pot and pan and plastic spatula. I also left a gold necklace with my daughter’s name on it, and it was never found. C'est la vie. Still, it beats a 100 square foot hotel room in the city. This has become my go-to in the Bay Area, whether I’m seeing a show at the Fox in Oakland or the Civic in SF. It’s right off the 101, across the bridge, and next to a small shopping area with an okay coffee shop. Marin Co has no BART station, and unless you want the very long, sporadic ferry, you’ll need to drive into the city, Uber, or use a ghost car. The location is otherwise pretty great.

We were pleasantly surprised by the price and quality, and we’ll definitely stay again. It’s an older property, so go in expecting that. The rooms are spacious, comfortable, clean, and equipped for longer stays. Common areas are well kept, with lovely places to relax, swim, or use the large hot tub. My husband is a travel nurse.

A mix of dated and modern, but for the price it’s a great stay. The room was clean with no smells, and the bed and pillows were comfortable. There’s food, groceries, gas stations, and the beach nearby. The courtyard is a nice touch, especially the huge hot tub.

Besides the billing mess, it’s a nice place. I was overcharged, and the online price didn’t make sense compared with what they quoted when booking by phone. Our first night, the room was dirty even though it was supposed to be pet friendly and cost extra: there was a hearing battery on the floor, old food, bugs, and a dirty towel. The manager offered a small refund, but at checkout I was told they couldn’t approve it unless a manager was present, and they couldn’t reach one. I had to push hard before they contacted the manager and issued the refund. The whole thing was a joke. Check your charges repeatedly. If you book online, I’d take a photo showing what you owe for the first night and the final amount, since you don’t get a receipt or confirmation and then prices change, making it confusing.

Kushi at the front desk was so kind and welcoming, and gave me helpful advice and support throughout my stay. The hotel itself was clean and comfortable too. I had a great visit and would definitely recommend it. ❤️
