Fairfield by Marriott Inn & Suites Cortland

After a harrowing drive south through a winter blizzard, I found out my booking was wrong. Tyquon went well beyond his duties to sort it out, and I can’t thank him enough. His kindness will stay with me. The rest of the staff were friendly and helpful too. My room was spacious and clean, breakfast was wonderful, and I felt safe on my own. I hope I can return. Merci beaucoup!

The breakfast selection was a little disappointing, and the bed seemed due for replacement, though I still slept decently. The staff were helpful, efficient, and friendly. When I’m traveling to Cortland, I prefer this place to the other options.

The staff were pleasant and helpful, but I can’t accept being given a room without hot water when the hotel knew about the problem. I was there for work. It wasn’t busy when I checked in, so there must have been other rooms available. I slept, then discovered in the morning, as I was getting ready to go back to work, that there was no hot water. At checkout I mentioned it, assuming they didn’t know and would take that room out of service. The woman politely told me, “I know, we are working on it.” If they’d told me beforehand, I’d have chosen another hotel. It also made me question whether the hotel had hot water for serving food.

The kids loved the pool and could’ve spent the whole evening there. Our room was spotless and well kept, and Curtis made sure our family had a spacious one. He greeted us warmly and handled check-in smoothly, with a courteous, attentive, and accommodating manner. We stayed one night at the Fairfield by Marriott Inn & Suites in Cortland, and the experience was outstanding. I’d gladly recommend it to anyone visiting the area, and we look forward to coming back.
