Holiday Inn Express Cottage Grove

There isn't a gym, and the whole place had a stale smoke smell. Some parts, like the floors, bathrooms, and facilities, felt dated and worn, though a few things, including some room furniture, seemed recently updated. The rooms were decent and clean, and the TV had Netflix built in. There's an indoor pool, plus groceries, coffee, food, and fuel right nearby. At this price, I'm not sure there's a better hotel in town.

I was there because my dad was hospitalized, and I'd driven all the way from Washington. On my first night, the man at the desk practically laughed when I couldn't get my key to work. That was unacceptable, and he didn't seem to care what I was going through. The rest of the staff were kind, helpful, and really caring.

We come back when we visit family and don't want to drive the 2.5 hours home. The beds are comfortable for the price, and the rooms are clean and well kept. Staff are friendly, and getting on or off I5 is easy. There are plenty of fast food places nearby, too.

The parking setup is a little odd, but you're within walking distance of food and dutch brothers. The rooms were clean, the beds comfortable, and the staff were really nice. It felt like they take good care of the place, and the price was fair. I'd stay again.
