Anchorage Inn B&B

Maggie and Dave, along with Lilly, made us feel so welcome, like we were visiting our grandparents. Their warmth is the kind you remember, and I’d happily return to Whidby Island just to stay with them again. I’d love to have them as hosts on every vacation, and their sweet dog Lilly deserves plenty of hellos. We’d never tried a B&B before, but this stay completely won us over. I wish I could move in. It may be my favorite place I’ve ever stayed. The care Maggie and Dave put into both the inn and their guests was beyond anything we’ve had at a hotel. The room was spotless and had everything we needed, including a Keriug, mini fridge, fireplace, and more TV services than the Fairmont where we’d stayed. We had a lovely water view, and there were microwaves downstairs and lots of board games. The whole B&B had been renovated and was very well kept. Breakfast was a highlight: fresh fruit, meat and cheese boards, baked goods, and a delicious quiche. I’m not much of an egg person, but that quiche changed my mind. Dave was great to talk with and made sure we were looked after. There were complimentary juices, drinks, and snacks available throughout the day, too. Everything felt thoughtful, and they were incredibly gracious.
