The grounds were quiet and laid back, and our room was clean. The bed was comically loud, though comfortable, and we wished the shower had stronger pressure. Wifi and TV worked without any trouble. The place has plenty of character, and we’d stay again. We were performers at the Whidbey Ren Faire and were blown away by the customer service. Everyone was friendly and helpful. My boyfriend needed to go to the ER after we’d placed a food order, and the staff were accommodating and checked on him later. We ate dinner and breakfast there, and despite the weekend crowd, both the service and food were excellent. The restaurant’s hometown feel was a nice, grounding part of the trip.

Saturday karaoke is great, and the bartender is the sweetest. Our restaurant visit was another story. We arrived around 3pm when it wasn't too busy, were told to seat ourselves, and got our drink orders taken almost right away. Then we waited a long time to order while none of the wait staff looked over. When a waitress came by with a broom and dustpan, we asked if we could order. She got flustered and rude, said she was "off the clock," then added, "fine I'll take your order." She dropped the dustpan, went to get a pen and paper, and came back dismissive. My fiance and I decided to eat elsewhere. We said we'd pay for the drinks and leave, but she walked away. We definitely won't be back.

The place is dog friendly and really affordable, with lots of things within walking distance. The beds seem about as old as the motel and are creaky and loud, though my husband slept well, which was a plus. The restaurant food is good, standard fare, but the friendly service and great attitude make it feel fabulous.

A good no-frills place to stay, clean and functional. The bar is cozy and great, and the Fish and Chips were over the top.

The staff are beyond amazing and make you feel right at home. The food is amazing, everything cooked beautifully. If you have room left, I highly recommend the pies.
