We only stopped for a few hours of sleep, so the comfortable bed and lack of bugs were a plus. The room had a terrible musty odor, like there’d been water damage. There was a burn hole in the bed runner, and the smoke alarm was hanging off the wall. The TV asked for a channel search as soon as we changed channels, but its controls were locked, so we couldn’t watch anything.

The rooms were incredibly clean, and the price felt fair for what you got. I’d definitely recommend staying here when visiting this sweet spot of Louisiana. Had a great experience!

We did our best to manage one night here because this motel was the best option in the area, and we were in town for a funeral the next morning. We bought towels and covers and cleaned the room ourselves. After spending over $30 on cleaning supplies, I went to the office for fresh bedding and learned they had no clean linen because their washer had been broken for five days. We got a refund and had to buy covers too. The first room smelled so strongly of wet, dirty carpet and mold that I could barely breathe. The covers and pillows were stained, as if they hadn’t been cleaned. They moved us to another room, but the only improvement was that it didn’t smell quite as bad. That explained why both rooms were dirty. Are you kidding me?

The rooms were clean, and we didn’t hear noise from the street or adjoining rooms. Front desk service varied: check-in was great, but checkout was much less friendly. Coffee and breakfast weren’t available until 7am on Sunday. There are no cribs or pack-and-plays, so we had to bring our own, and connected rooms aren’t an option either. A website would make it easier to book and ask for information.
