Courtyard BY Marriott Atlanta Covington

At 5:30 a.m. checkout, Delon, if I have the spelling right, was alert and very nice, and asked how our stay had been. Earlier, Jasmine checked us in professionally, warmly, and with plenty of information. You could tell she enjoys her job and talking with people. The hotel was clean and had a welcoming feel. We often travel this way and usually stay in Conyers, but this will be our go-to from now on. Thanks to Marriott for these two great employees, and blessings to your wonderful staff!

We came from Houston with family and found the location convenient for visiting relatives in Conyers. Our room was roomy, clean, and comfortable, and the staff were amazing and very accommodating. We'll stay here again when we're back in town.

The staff were friendly, but breakfast isn't free. If you want anything to eat in the morning, you have to pay at the bistro. I've attached the breakfast menu. The air conditioning was awful. I was hot all night, even though I'm usually cold and sleep under several blankets. Here I had just a sheet. The water pressure was so weak it was like a trickle, and I'm not sure I got all the shampoo out. Would I stay here again? Absolutely not.

Those floor-to-ceiling windows are lovely, and the hotel is new, which is why I’m giving it two stars. The night service has been a problem every time, though. I pass through town weekly, and after one rude encounter with the same woman at the desk, I left the Courtyard and went to the Residence Inn. The service there was much better, even though both are Marriott properties. I gave the Courtyard three more chances when the Residence Inn was full, and each time I ran into her, it was a bad experience. After I met the GM on one visit, he asked me to try again and see if things improved. On my next stay, I had several TV problems, and the same woman was working that evening. Her response was just as poor. At more than $200 a night, that’s not acceptable. I won’t be back.
