Courtyard by Marriott Cincinnati-Covington

We booked eight rooms and asked for connecting rooms, but none of them were near each other. The receptionist was rude to everyone in our party, and one room was double-booked, so a stranger was able to enter while we were out at dinner. Another room was canceled and replaced with one that was occupied too. Breakfast was supposed to start at 7 a.m., but nobody was there and no breakfast was offered. When we asked for coffee, the response was extremely rude. I wouldn’t recommend this place.

I booked through Priceline, but at check-in the agent said there was a network problem and she couldn’t log in. She thought it would be fixed soon, so I left to charge my truck and came back an hour later. At 12:47 a.m., I was told to find somewhere else to stay, even though I’d already paid for the room. The agent broke down and asked me to give her a minute. I understand the situation was stressful, and nobody I saw was being rude. We were all just trying to get a place to sleep. Still, she was unhelpful, and the whole experience was bad.

I’ve stayed here three times, and each time I found a room that clearly hadn’t been vacuumed. On my most recent visit in January 2026, there was hair and debris all over the floors, including pubic hair scattered in the bathroom. After I complained, someone came to vacuum, but he only did a few random lines and started to leave. He wasn’t even going to clean the bathroom, which was the worst area. I ended up having to show him how to vacuum the room. If housekeeping is like this, I don’t want to guess what the towels and bedding are like. The only reason I stayed a third time was that I accidentally booked this same lousy hotel again.

The room was a great size, with plenty of space to move around. The pull-out couches were especially useful for accommodating friends.
