The breakfast was excellent for a hotel, and Teresa, I think that’s her name, runs the kitchen well. She deserves a raise. Staff were helpful when I could find them, though there doesn’t seem to be a way to call someone to the desk, so you have to wait for them to return. A man who fixed my clogged shower drain did a great job and was very nice, but it took two hours to get the drain sorted out. The room itself worked fine, but signs of wear are showing from what looks like a renovation a few years back: loose trim, loose water fitting handles, and a missing microwave leg. The laundry center was out of service, with no directions to another place for laundry. There’s no sign by the road, and the road in is next to McDonald's. This is by far the nicest hotel within 25 miles, but the owner seems largely responsible for its falling into disrepair. If they don’t take care of it, it’ll be like the others and won’t be worth the price.

It’s a quiet place to sleep, with comfortable beds and friendly, helpful housekeeping. In this small rural area, it’s probably the best nearby option. We couldn’t get an early check-in during our visit, though we don’t know if that’s the usual policy or just how things worked out that day, and it was inconvenient. There isn’t much around locally; Millington, with more places to eat and shop, is about a 30-45 minute drive.

We nearly stayed in Jackson, 45 minutes away, until Tim Rouser let us know there’d been a cancellation. We’re glad he did. Tim Rouser keeps an eye on things and makes sure everything looks good and runs smoothly. Teresa keeps the breakfast room clean and always has a smile, plus she’ll make you laugh. Customer service is 100 percent, and the hotel keeps getting upgrades, including the new high-quality coffee machines. This is at the top of my list, and it’s the only hotel we use when visiting our hometown.

6/30/25. I was here for work for about a week, working nights, and the staff were really cooperative. They brought me coffee and clean towels whenever I needed them. It was quiet enough to sleep during the day, with no traffic noise, and the curtains kept the room dark. Pretty good hotel overall.
