The grounds are beautiful, the location in Crescent Lake Junction is convenient, and the cabin's quirky floorplan is fun and good for hosting a family. But the place was filthy and neglected. The surfaces were dingy, the blinds had years of grime, the oven was gross, and the carpets were stained. There was filth built up on the microwave vents, and a dead mouse that had clearly been there a while lay under the router on the carpet. Several things were broken or need attention: the toilet runs every 15 minutes because it needs a new flapper, and makes a loud clunk when it finishes filling. The DVD/VCR wouldn't turn on, the living room light was broken, the living room clock needed a battery, and the faux fireplace heats well but its fire doesn't work. I don't like leaving bad reviews, and if the owners deep cleaned the cabin and fixed the amenities, I'd change this to four stars. I'd want to see an owner's response describing the fixes before recommending a getaway here. After reading other reviews about cleanliness, I wouldn't recommend staying at all. Yuck!

The cabins or chalet are super cute and well designed for two dollars. Fun spot near the lakes and snow!

The manager smiled at us in a robe at 7 pm. The motel itself is pretty ordinary, with old furnishings and nothing special. The bed was clean, and there was a fireplace, but no paper, matches, or lighters. My wife found hair in the bathroom. I never figured out the two remotes, and the dish receiver wouldn't connect, so I turned it off and didn't use it. Internet was useless, basically nonexistent. Mobile service is already a problem in that region, and the internet here didn't work either.

After hours of driving, I was so glad to find this inn. I arrived late at night and loved my room, especially the fireplace and the cozy, comfortable beds. It was 48 degrees at night, so having a heater as an option if you didn't want to light the fireplace was great. I'd highly recommend it.

The kitchen items in the chalet we rented were very dirty, and there was still coffee in the coffee pot. It looked like the place hadn't been cleaned.
