Chateaux Condominiums by Crested Butte Lodging

The pool and spa were beautiful. Our condo was spacious and clean, and the bus stop was just steps away.

Crested Butte Property management was easy to work with, and Tina was accommodating. The bus stop near Chateaux 302 made it easy to get to town, skiing, and major restaurants, so we left the car parked. But the unit itself was in terrible shape. It smelled, felt so worn it seemed ready to be torn down, and the front door was nearly impossible to open. The slider didn’t close all the way, so it was cold inside, and the shower curtain had brown stains. Neither the master nor guest bed was comfortable, and nobody slept well. People we spoke with in the hot tub said their units were similarly worn and dirty. I’m sure nobody comes back to this unit for a second stay. We won’t be back.

The balcony was lovely in the morning, and the beds were comfortable. There was plenty of kitchen gear, including pots and pans, and seating that worked well for six. It was very clean, and we’d stay again.

We left after just two nights of a six-day Airbnb booking. Residents immediately made us uncomfortable by harassing us over our service dog. The place felt dirty, and the hot tub was a long way from the units. There are plenty of better options in crested butte.
