For a couple of days, this seemed like a great place to stay, but I wouldn’t want to be there longer than a week. The rooms smelled of mildew and old burnt food, and the beds were awful. I could feel the springs through the mattress. Our friends had a separate room that was renovated, smelled great, and had a very nice mattress topper that made their bed feel amazing. Be cautious if you stay here.

A private shuttle takes you around town, and you can ski from the parking lot to the lifts. For some real quiet, come in the shoulder season. Nordic skiing is excellent, and there’s also mountain biking, hiking, wild flowers, hunting, and off road trails. Everything’s great. San Moritz is probably the best place to stay in all of Crested Butte.

The views were lovely, and the place itself was beautiful. Staff handled our questions quickly. Just a heads-up, the beds could be better.

We come back each summer to mountain bike, and the location makes it easy. Crested Butte Bike Park is right next door for chairlift-assisted laps, with other trails close by too. The condos are clean and have great views, and the setup works really well for bikers.

We stayed in Paradise 102, where the kitchen had pretty much everything we needed to make all our meals. The interior felt a little dated, but the slope access, the views, and how friendly the staff were more than made up for it. Christine was especially helpful, and the customer service was great from the start.
