Super 8 by Wyndham Creswell/South Eugene

The room felt old and sketchy, and the comforter had stains. We didn’t feel safe or comfortable, and were lucky to find another hotel. If we hadn’t found one, we thought staying in the car would be better. We left after 30 minutes, though I spent that time looking for somewhere else. The front desk clerk helping us was kind and did her job well; her coworker seemed really unpleasant, which made for an uneasy start.

Having a restaurant just steps away and a gas station next door made things really easy, and I5 is very handy. WiFi was fine. The gentleman at the front desk was helpful and accommodating when we needed a first-floor room. Our room was clean, though the beds were a bit too soft for my taste. The heater worked too well, so we kept turning it down. Breakfast was the usual fare, but it was nice that they had eggs. We were very pleased with the stay, and I’d certainly recommend it.

The location right off the highway is wonderful, with a cute little bar grill next door. The rooms were tidy, though the bathroom was rather small and had only a heated light for lighting. By the end of a shower, you’re sweating. My husband and son used the pool, and they thought it was decent. It was a good experience overall, though only one of our key cards worked, which was lame.

The heat and cold worked well, and the beds were comfortable. The clerk was very nice and gave me a ground-floor room since there’s no elevator and I’m handicapped. Still, the room wasn’t very clean, there was almost no toilet paper, and it didn’t seem ready for a guest. I won’t stay there again, though Super 8 is still my motel choice. 😐
