Colorado Grande Casino

The old building is huge and beautifully renovated, and the rooms upstairs are lively. Be aware there's only a steep stairway. We stayed a couple of nights and liked it: a small casino, friendly staff, and an okay atmosphere. The attached restaurant was also an okay place to eat.

After my visit on 01/25/2026, my credit card was compromised. It was the only place I'd used it in weeks. I had booked online, then asked the long grey-haired woman at the check-in desk the next day to remove that card and switch to a debit card. A month later, charges from Canyon City jail and strait talk wireless appeared, and over $6000.00 was taken. I had no fun here. Don't risk it.

A really nice place, with a good room and great staff. Special thanks to the woman who made my coffee in the morning. She was finishing her shift at 6am but still made sure I was all set before she left. Thank you!

We went to try their restaurant because it was advertised as kid friendly, but were told it wasn't kid friendly on New Year's Eve. It was 18⁰ outside, so we paused just inside the door to find somewhere else to eat. They wouldn't let us wait inside because we had our one-year-old with us, even though we were holding him. I understand the casino rules, but the lack of compassion and accurate information put us in a difficult spot trying to find food with our baby.
