The only good things were the friendly people and the nice hot water for a shower or bath. The beds were hard and cheap, with no headboards, and the thin sheets weren't really clean white. Our room had no curtains, just blinds, so it still looked like daytime at night. The walls were bare apart from a very large TV, and there was no remote.

The desk staff were quick, friendly, and efficient, and the room was large with no carpet, which I prefer. The bed was a little soft but clean. The bathroom was dated, with peeling paint and stained flooring, though everything worked. There was coffee in the room but no coffee pot, which I only discovered at 05:00. The parking lot had reasonable lighting. It's a basic motel, fine for passing through and getting some sleep, but hardly a destination. The sign on Loop doesn't say Knights Inn! I thought it was overpriced, but Crockett has limited options, so I paid anyway. Maybe that's just how it works.
The maintenance work looks like it might be in the wrong hands. Rooms are old and outdated.
The manager went way beyond what she had to do to get me a room for the last 30 days, and she really took care of me. The women there are all really nice. They don't mind my dogs being with me wherever I go, except at the pool. I'm staying until July 24 because of the flood.
The desk clerks I dealt with were all nice, and the beds were comfortable and clean. The bathroom was clean too, but the room cost a little much for its condition. It's a no-frills place with people living there, and the rooms need repairs and updating. I was traveling on my Harley and had a truck and car stop outside my room, so I got up to look. They came back around 1 a.m., then stopped a third time. They had a trailer and were looking my way when they saw me at the window. I walked around the hotel, but neither vehicle was in the parking lot. I moved my bike onto the sidewalk in front of my room because I was concerned. The guest side isn't well lit, so be cautious and lock up if you stay.
