Courtyard by Marriott Hartford Cromwell

Kayleigh was really helpful and quick to respond while we were arranging a wedding block at Courtyard Cromwell. We ended up cancelling after our venue missed its construction deadline, but she did all she could to make the hotel part less stressful. We also toured the property. It was clean, nicely updated, and in a good location. Booking the block had been very easy, and I'd recommend staying here.

The rooms and staff were great, and we were glad we chose this hotel for our wedding block on 11-08. The shuttle between here and Saint Clements ran without any issues. We also had an awesome after-party in one of the event rooms.

Room 322 was in rough shape. The building feels old with only a light spruce-up, and the furniture is very dated. One of the four pillows should have been replaced years ago, and the beds were really uncomfortable. There was mold on the soap dispensers and shower curtain, the tub looked like it hadn't been scrubbed in months, and the showerhead needs replacing. The shower water was scalding hot with no cold water, which could seriously burn a child. There was no heat in the hallway between the elevator and the rooms, either. The cups were sealed as cleaned, and having a fridge and microwave in the room was useful. There's a sauna in the women's locker room, and the evening Bistro worker was great. Walmart, quick food options, and the highway are all close by. Still, I wouldn't stay here again.

The room was spotless, and the bed was very comfortable. It was quiet, too. I had to stay last minute after a change to my third-shift schedule, but getting a room was no problem and service was prompt. The amenities were nice. I wish I'd had more time to enjoy the comfortable lounge and dining area, with its good food and drink options, and the patio with a gas fireplace. I've stayed at a lot of Marriott Courtyard locations around the US, and this one stands out.
