Carriage Inn Motel

The food is wonderful, and the customer service is great. Every Friday they have an all-you-can-eat seafood buffet that’s family friendly. I’d recommend it to anyone with a big appetite.

The staff are nice, the pool is being cleaned, and the diner next door is great. I love this place enough that I could make it home. I’ll definitely be back.

The restaurant was a dive, with awful service. I waited almost an hour for a hamburger while my husband was already on his second plate at the buffet. It didn’t look like the place had been updated since it was built. The manager was nice, but the motel itself was disgustingly dirty. It may be old and not modern, but that doesn’t excuse its condition. After more than 12 hours on the road, we just wanted somewhere decent to sleep and get a meal. The beds were hard and the pillows lousy.

The only good part of my stay was leaving. The rooms had bugs, and the towels were more like washcloths. The pool wasn’t usable, so bring a fishing pole instead of a swimsuit. We also couldn’t run the microwave and a space heater at the same time because it apparently trips a breaker. I overheard staff speaking about a customer in a degrading way after that person seemed unaware of the short-circuiting issue. The managing staff were unprofessional and disrespectful. I watched the manager yell at a customer in front of other guests and children. Her two young girls ran around loudly, getting in people’s faces and ignoring boundaries. From what I could tell, the manager stayed in her room while the people working looked after her children. It could be a great place, but seeing all that was appalling.
