No towels, no toilet paper, and a tiny window unit AC that couldn’t cool this little room. One of the rudest women running a place I’ve ever seen. What a joke. Don’t walk, run in the other direction.

I was exhausted and just did my best to get some rest in a room that was absolutely pathetic, despite the lady telling me it was clean and ready to rent. I didn’t report it to the desk at the time, but I definitely won’t go back.

The tub wouldn’t drain right and smelled like sewer water, and I found a very big rat in my room. Management was super rude and seemed angry and very unprofessional. The manager claimed she’d reserved my room for someone else while I was still there. I know she was lying. After the rat and the way I was treated, I can’t recommend this place. Zero stars. I don’t see how it’s open.

The room had roaches, the Wi-Fi never worked, and our TV was still broken after three weeks, even though we reported it on arrival. There’s no ice machine, coffee, or outside area, parking is small and limited, and it’s not handicapped friendly or pet friendly. The place needs a new owner. I’d tell anyone coming to Crossett to go to the Hollywood and save themselves the trouble. Lisa, who runs the motel, seemed drunk or hungover every day and forgot when we’d paid. After a couple left without paying her, she charged us double. I later found out she’d let that couple stay rent free for three weeks without filing charges or getting the money back, and then doubled our rent to cover the loss. She also scolded us for talking to other tenants, even ones staying nearby. A guy came knocking at our door asking for drugs because the manager had told people to ask around and sent him to our room. It was horrifying. The head housekeeper was the one doing maintenance while Lisa sat around and gave her rushed instructions. I saw the housekeeper bring her own tools on her day off and work until dark because no one else was fixing the problems. There were water leaks, and when the plumbing backed up, she got a shovel and tried to deal with it. She never got credit or the pay she deserved for keeping the place running. She should have been paid exceptionally well, but instead she was breaking her back and still struggling while her boss left her responsible for everyone renting a room.
