My husband had to stay here twice for out-of-town work, both times because all the other area hotels were booked. The sheets were filthy, the toilets were already clogged before he even got in, and there was dust and staining everywhere. It seemed like the cleaners just opened the door, looked in, and called it done. There was even a used bar of soap left on the bed, ready for somebody else to use. He asked for fresh sheets so he could make the bed himself, but they never arrived during his multi-day stay. Spend a little extra to go somewhere else, or drive another hour if you have to. If I could give this place zero, I would.

I’ve stayed here on and off for 25 years, but this was the worst experience I’ve had, and I won’t be back. We were told the rooms were clean and ready, but Rooms 211 and 213 were nowhere close. Room 213 was supposed to be non-smoking, yet it smelled of cigarettes, had an ashtray in the nightstand drawer, and was missing its smoke detector. Room 211 was worse: rotting food in the dresser, beer caps on the floor under the AC, someone’s underwear behind the bed, and press-on nails in the nightstand drawer. We bought cleaning supplies at Walmart and cleaned the room ourselves. I can overlook repairs and upgrades being needed, and I agree some rooms need work, as long as the room is clean. This missed the mark.

The place was quiet and charming, with three restaurants within walking distance. Our room was clean, smelled good, and had no bugs. There were lots of cable channels, and the staff were friendly and accommodating.

Cockroaches were everywhere, and the room had a truly awful smell. Don’t stay here unless you want to get sick.
