We spent several nights using the Brookside as our base, cooking outside and gathering around one of the fire pits. There were 14 of us on our annual motorcycle trip, spread across several cabins. The owner and her summer caretakers were wonderful. The place is right in the middle of some of the best motorcycle roads anywhere, and we’ll definitely come back.

The New River is right beside the cabins, so there’s fishing, tubing, and kayaking nearby. West Jefferson is also close, with a lovely little downtown for restaurants and shopping. Great spot, and we’ll be back soon.

Healing Springs feels tucked away from everything, even though Jefferson and West Jefferson are an easy, quick drive for food and things to do. We stayed in the cozy hummingbird cabin and loved the porch and fireplace. Such a beautiful little hideaway.

We’ve stayed here several times, and this weekend brought our pet along for the first time. The cabin was just right for me, my boyfriend, and our three daughters. We had a little bonfire and loved being here again. The owner and maintenance man were so friendly and helped whenever we needed it. I’d recommend this place forever, and we’ll be back in January! If I could give more than five stars, I would.

A clean, comfortable rustic cabin with all the modern amenities, and easy to get to West Jefferson, the Blue Ridge Parkway, and fly fishing. It feels like stepping back in time, tucked off the beaten path without being off the grid. We had a lovely weekend.
