Hampton Inn Crystal River, FL

The spotless, well-kept property and welcoming service impressed me during my recent stay at this Hampton Inn. Staff were attentive and went out of their way to make my children feel welcome. Management clearly takes pride in the hospitality and the location. The quiet setting made it easy to get a restful night before we started our vacation in Orlando. As a parent, I appreciated the coffee station being open 24 hours, and the coffee was actually very good. Breakfast was excellent too. The kids loved the build-your-own waffle bar with chocolate chips, and it made the morning routine easy. This hotel has earned my repeat business. I’d recommend it for a quick stop or a visit to the area, especially for its cleanliness, comfort, and family-friendly atmosphere.

We’ve stayed here three times over the last few years, and it’s our go-to for family visits to Crystal River. The hotel has been renovated over the past few years. Breakfast has a good variety of quality items, and coffee and tea are available all day at a coffee bar that’s always stocked. They offered us cold bottled water when we arrived and again at checkout, which really stood out. Keep it up, we’ll be back.

The rooms are very clean, and everyone works hard to make my stay pleasant, from maintenance and housekeeping to the breakfast attendant and front desk. Merry greets me with a big smile, and Amy makes sure I have what I need to relax. She even knows to have the TV remote ready when I’m sending emails in the lobby after a long day of work. Great place to stay!

The room was clean, and the woman at the front desk was friendly and helpful. All the staff were friendly, and someone was around to assist at breakfast. The food looked okay, though I didn’t notice any meat. I saw scrambled eggs and mostly carbs like bagels, breads, muffins, and cereal, plus milk, yogurt, a pancake and/or waffle machine, orange juice, and coffee. There was probably more than I listed. If you’re diabetic or eating low-carb, you might prefer to eat elsewhere. There are lots of restaurants nearby, I believe, and the location is good for some eco boat and manatee tours about 3 minutes away by car. We took one. The air conditioner was awful, and the room stayed hot all night. It showed 68 degrees at 3 a.m., and didn’t drop to around 64 until sunrise. I couldn’t sleep at all, and my spouse barely slept. I called the desk to ask for a fan. The woman tried to find one, but apparently couldn’t. The mattress was very firm, and the pillows were far too soft, which made the hot room even more uncomfortable. We had to check out very early, so couldn’t try sleeping a bit before leaving.
