The place was decent enough for me. It had two big rooms and a kitchen, and I could walk to and from my haters around me, which I enjoyed.

The front desk worker first quoted me $95 plus tax. After she looked into my wallet to see how much cash I had, the price suddenly became $125 plus a $20 deposit. I asked for a printed breakdown of the tax and the price change, but she couldn’t give me one. I feel they try to hustle money from customers. Don’t give them your business.

The staff were professional, and the outside has been repainted in a nice two-color combination. Inside, the room was spacious, with a separate area for the included microwave and fridge. We were near coin laundry, shops, fast food, and a family restaurant across the street. The satellite TV had lots of channels, and the bed was comfortable, neither too firm nor too soft. We stayed one night on our six-year anniversary, though he didn’t celebrate it or even acknowledge it. You can hear through the walls, but it was quiet overall. I liked the room and enjoyed the stay. I’d come back.

This has happened to me twice at the same motel. The owner judged us as a biracial couple and said there were no rooms, even though I could clearly see unoccupied rooms and an empty parking lot. I wasn’t able to stay.
