Stones Motel

The staff were nice, but that was the only good part. The room was full of odd stains, including some on the comforter and blanket, which concerned me most. Most of the outlets were old, loose, and falling apart, so plugging things in was difficult. The walls were so thin that we could hear absolutely everything from the person next door, and we asked to switch rooms because of it. We’d stayed somewhere cheaper the night before that was bigger, cleaner, and even included continental breakfast. This place was freaking disgusting.

The room had stains everywhere, and the chair outside the bathroom was torn up and so stained it looked like it belonged in the dump. The bathroom was tiny, with no ventilation, and the toilet seat had no cover. Three of us were given only two towels, despite the double beds. In the morning, the shower water kept swinging from freezing to boiling hot while the pressure fluctuated. The walls were very thin, and we heard people arguing in the parking lot all night. Wi-Fi didn’t work, half the lights were out, and the AC kept shutting off overnight. The sheets were dirty, and I got bitten by bed bugs. The place lacked anything decent. I can deal with an outdated motel if it’s clean and works, but this one was the opposite. Save yourself the bad stay and the bites. The bugs could be in the mattresses, pillows, or sheets, and they’re probably all over the place. Who knows how long they’ve been there? Good riddance, Stone’s. We stayed here the night of June 15th, 2018.

We paid $300 for four nights, which was supposed to cost $296. She didn’t count the money or give us change. Instead, she walked us to the door, handed over the key, and sent us to the room. When the key didn’t work and we went back to the office, she said we’d only given her $200. We told them it was $300. She called her husband, who came over yelling and arguing that she wasn’t a liar. There were three of us, and we’d each chipped in $100. We asked to see the cameras, but they wouldn’t show us. He stood by them for 30 minutes and kept insisting we’d paid $200. We left right after that, out $100, and had to find somewhere else to stay for less time. The trip was ruined. Don’t trust this motel. I’d never pay by card here, and be careful during payment.

There’s almost nothing here, apart from a small outdoor pool, and even the ice machine doesn’t work. The parking lot needs repairs. My sheets had hair on them, and the towels looked covered in rust or some kind of orange stain. The bathrooms were tiny. I hate giving one star, but there isn’t a lower rating.
