Suburban Extended Stay Hotel

The place may look sketchy at first, but it’s quiet and secured with cameras throughout the property. The location is convenient for commuting to the base. The new owners are doing a great job fixing up the rooms and property, and it’s a nice place to stay if you’re in the area.

The sheets had hairs on them and cigarette burns, and there was dust and dirt all over the room. The refrigerator didn’t work, and the whole place smelled bad. I checked out right away and found another hotel. Then I waited almost 20 minutes for the front desk guy to show up so I could check out. I can’t believe anyone agrees to stay here at these prices. This is the nastiest hotel I’ve ever set foot in. I’d give it zero stars if I could. Don’t stay here.

The room needed a lot of work. We had an accessible room, but the toilet wasn’t secure, the sink spun around, and the faucet wasn’t even attached to the counter, just leaning against the mirror. The accessible shower was very narrow, and water could run out because the seal along the ramp edge was hanging loose. The cover on the door handle was missing, leaving the batteries exposed, though that was only cosmetic for us. The cigarette ash smell was horrific, bad enough to make our nostrils burn. I know it was a smoking room, but it was still overwhelming. The Wi-Fi kept cutting in and out, so we gave up and turned it off. At least the heat worked amazingly well. Check-in and checkout were brief, and we had no problems with the staff. This place needs some TLC to bring it back to life. The check-in office looked like it could have been a Marijuana shop, and though it’s a quiet town, there was a lot of late-night noise. It sounded like a loud engine driving around the parking lot over and over.

There were just two towels, no spare toilet paper, and the roll on the holder was already partly used. After 10, once we ran out, I couldn’t reach anyone to get more. The room also had a funny smell when I first walked in. I’ve stayed in plenty of hotels, and this wasn’t what I’m used to. I don’t think I’ll come back.
