Knowing what the place was really like, I wouldn’t have stayed. The name is deceiving. It’s an old, eerie, outdated hotel, about what you’d expect after a Motel 6. There was visible mold, broken furniture, and questionable cleaning. The atmosphere and surroundings also made me worry my car could be broken into.

Everything seemed fine until I sat on the bed and felt the springs. Lying down, I could feel them all over my body, and I couldn’t sleep. After a long day, I had to drive 90 miles home because it was the worst hotel bed I’ve ever had.

The woman at the counter was very nice and switched one of my two rooms without any trouble. The first room smelled wet and old, though, and the sheets in the replacement room felt damp, like they hadn’t fully dried before being put on the bed. I felt uneasy as soon as we arrived because people were hanging around outside the lobby doors. There were also a lot of “interesting” people around the back where we parked, so we went outside in pairs. The highlight was finding my car “entered.” I could’ve sworn I locked it, though maybe it was my fault. My personal things were thrown around, the change tray and a few dollars were missing from the center console, and the trunk had been opened from inside. I tried to tell a man at the desk, but he brushed me off, saying the manager would be in Monday at 1030. No offer to check the cameras, no apology, nothing. It’s not his car, so why would he care, right? 10/10 do not recommend.

I booked online and called to confirm, but the man who answered was impatient and rude. The call lasted less than a minute, and he just rushed me and sounded annoyed that I’d called. I didn’t understand why, he doesn’t know me and had never spoken to me before. It was upsetting and uncalled for. There are kind people around, so let’s try to be kind. He sounded like a middle-aged or older Hispanic man. Please do the job you’re paid to do, or let someone else do it. Customers aren’t the reason you’re frustrated, at least not all of us. Sorry this is long. That was weird.
